Social Media Changes Come Fast and Frequently

POSTED ON: 5 October 2015

Getting involved on Social Media for your business is important, but it can be time consuming with many moving parts at play. Getting a handle on all the relevant platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram, Pinterest, Vine and others can keep you quite busy. Moreover, it seems that with each passing week, the shift towards mobile devices is also playing a larger role in developing social media trends. With each platform introducing new mobile features that require you to finetune your social media roadmap, there’s a lot to keep track of.

This week, Facebook announced new, mobile-friendly features for Facebook profiles. Soon, you’ll be able to film a short, looping video clip that will play for anyone who visits your profile. Profile pictures will also soon be centred and made bigger. While these change are only taking place on personal profiles, we suspect that this is something we’ll see on Facebook’s Pages as well.

Also this week, reports surfaced that Twitter is exploring ways users can go beyond the signature 140 character limit. This will most likely come in the form of another platform or tool that they are in the process of developing.

It’s a lot to keep track of.  Fortunately, subscribers to Paintshield Technology's Deluxe Package receive access to our social media setup and social media management program.
